Hair Grooming Techniques for Athletes to Enhance Performance
Athletes have a lot of rituals and procedures that are performed before and after their game to improve their performance when they play. For others, it is a means to boost their confidence, while for some it could be their desire to look their best when they 'perform', particularly for sports that require the players to fix their selves up. There are different games that require you to practice good hair grooming.
Gymnastics and figure skating athletes have to do their hair during practice and training, but most especially during competitions. How they do their hair can greatly affect their performance. Neat, tight, and costume-appropriate hairstyles are the norm. Make-up and additional enhancing features are added to emphasise the desired look the athlete wants to achieve.
There are also players who prefer to remove all the hair from their body. This practice is believed to enhance certain elements that improve the athlete's overall performance. For example, swimmers prefer to have hairless physiques because they believe this lessens the drag and they can glide more smoothly in the water. It is also believed that less hair means less infections and less difficulty in administering first aid on wounds. When it comes to massages, hairless athletes tend to enjoy the therapeutic application better. For others, it is because it is easier to apply essential lotions and body oils that they use when they work out under the sun or outside in natural elements. And for some, it is their intention to confidently showcase their fit and muscular bodies to attract more admirers, especially for male athletes who desire to win the affection of female fans.
